Alternatively, you can install Nougat by “flashing” your Nexus device with the newest “factory images” available here. This could mean that the entire line-up of Z2 and Z3 may miss out from the update.
Google says in its blog post that Android Nougat updates will be scheduled every three months in order to provide “continuous improvement”, while previous versions were updated more randomly.
A lot of smartphone manufacturers haven’t explicitly named a date or time range for when we can expect a Nougat update.
On Wednesday, HTC announced that its HTC 10, HTC One M9 and HTC One A9 smartphones will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat software update soon.
With the release of Android Nougat, people have noticed that some features that were supposed to come along with it are not included.
It is speculated that Motorola handsets may also have it imminently as they are generally quick with updates.
Android Googleblog also reports that Nougat gives its users a more personal experience by providing more ways to fit a user’s personality. Then you’ll have to wait for the update to arrive OTA.
Google’s Nexus devices are nearly always the first smartphones and tablets to receive version updates first, and that hasn’t changed with Nougat.
The next generation of Google Nexus devices promises to be even better.
Though the coming features would find its way in the maintenance update, for people in the beta program the features might come to them earlier.
