Bills acquire linebacker McCray in trade with Packers
The Buffalo Bills, looking to add depth at outside linebacker and more contribution on special teams, swung a deal with the Green Bay Packers to acquire outside linebacker Lerentee McCray, pending the passing of a physical.

“We thought he had some good snaps over there in Denver”, Packers General Manager Ted Thompson said in April, via ESPN. In exchange, the Bills will send an undisclosed 2018 draft pick to Green Bay.
McCray, a 26-year-old outside linebacker, will cause concern for other linebacker options with cuts scheduled to come down by 4 p.m. including undrafted rookies Eric Striker and Bryson Albright. He played 24 games for the Denver Broncos over the previous two seasons after spending the 2013 campaign on injured reserve.

He has 19 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a pass breakup and four special teams tackles in his career. First-round pick Shaq Lawson expects to miss much of the season as he recovers from shoulder surgery, and a pectoral injury has kept Manny Lawson on the sidelines.
