Donald Trump Responds to Colin Kaepernick’s Decision to Sit Out National Anthem

The head coach of the San Francisco 49ers said Colin Kaepernick would play, but Blaine Gabbert will have the night off. “Gabbert will not play”.

Kaepernick then missed almost two weeks of training camp with a exhausted shoulder and was ineffective in his first appearance of the preseason last Friday night against Green Bay.

“In general, what I can say is that I certainly don’t share the views that Mr. Kaepernick expressed after the game in explaining his reasoning for his actions”, Earnest told reporters, via Yahoo News.

The GOP presidential nominee – who campaigns on the premise the U.S.is “broken” and only he can make “America great again” – said National Football League player Colin Kaepernick should leave the country if he finds so much wrong with it.

“He’s assuming that we’re taking these people out of society that have no life experience, no education, no military training, nothing, and that six months later we’re handing them a gun and putting them on the street to go out and kill people”, Kelly said.

The hope here is that Kaepernick will perform at a higher level in his start Thursday than what we saw during the quarterback’s preseason debut last week.

Kelly also said he would wait until after Thursday night’s road exhibition game to announce a starting signal-caller for Week 1 of the regular season. He said Kaepernick remains one of his two best quarterbacks. Kelly said Kaepernick is not back to his playing weight of previous seasons. It’s not like I can say, “Hey, I like these eight guys” and he says, ‘I don’t care about those eight guys, we’re going this way’.

Kaepernick was not the first athlete to have used the United States national anthem for protest.

But Brown also said he would not choose to protest in this manner.

“Now if you ask me, ‘Would I do that?’ No I won’t, because I see it a little differently”, he said.

An NFL spokesman said players were “encouraged but not required” to stand during the anthem. “It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens”. “Failure to fix this problem is what’s really un-American here”.

Stay on topic – This helps keep the thread focused on the discussion at hand. “That flag obviously gives [Kaepernick] the right to do whatever he wants”.

American athletes’ protests against the anthem and the U.S. flag are hardly unheard of.
