Philippines president threatens to exit UN
President Rodrigo Duterte threatened yesterday to withdraw the Philippines from the United Nations, as he launched another profanity-laced tirade against the organization for criticizing his bloody war on crime.

“We call on the Philippines authorities to adopt with immediate effect the necessary measures to protect all persons from targeted killings and extrajudicial executions”, the new U.N. Special Rapporteur on summary executions, Agnes Callamard, said in the report. “Arrest them if they surrender peacefully but if they put up a violent stunt then you just have to kill them because I do not want people in government dying needlessly for doing his work when you were then leaving behind a family and children”, he said.
Estimates for the number of drug-related extrajudicial killings under Duterte vary, but there’s no disputing the fact that the body count is high.
Duterte said he would sign on Monday an executive order for the mass dismissal as a major component of his commitment to stamp out graft and corruption in the bureaucracy and pursue the ongoing intensified campaign against rampant criminality especially illegal drugs.
Duterte was angered by statements made by a United Nations official condemning the increasing number of vigilante-type killings in the country, which have hit about 1,800. The police will never condone vigilante killings, he said, adding that the 1,067 killings were carried out by criminal syndicates. Duterte is set to become the Philippines’ next president after Monday’s election.

PRESIDENT RODRIGO DUTERTE, challenging the United Nations special rapporteur on summary executions Agnes Callamard to visit the Philippines to look into the deaths and see that lawmen are also being killed in his anti-crime drive.
“President Duterte is in position now but what if his successor will prioritise human rights and conduct investigations?” he said. “I do not read you”, Duterte said.
In a scathing response to recent U.N.and U.S.
This handout photo taken on August 21, 2016 and released by the Presidential Photographers Dividion (PPD) shows President Rodrigo R. Duterte gesturing as he speaks during a press conference at the presidential guest house in Davao City.
“I admit many are dying but our campaign, now… we have momentum”, he said. Almost 600,000 people have surrendered to authorities, hoping to avoid getting killed.

When asked about the possible repercussions of his remarks, Duterte replied: “I don’t give a shit about them”.
