Spike Jonze Directed the Craziest Perfume Ad You’ve Ever Seen
Starring The Nice Guys actress Margaret Qualley, Kenzo’s new ad for Kenzo World begins as a typical perfume ad usually does. Twitchy and uncomfortable, Qualley finally excuses herself; to set her true soul free and explode into a kicking, licking, and laser-finger dance mania.

Whether the performer is Bjork or Christopher Walken or even himself, Spike Jonze has committed some fantastic dance scenes to film. She’s also Andie Macdowell’s daughter, Fashionista notes.
The choreography, which includes Qualley beating her chest and moving her limbs uncontrollably to the song “Mutant Brain” by Ape Drums and Jonze’s brother DJ Sam Spiegel, was the work of Ryan Heffington, who is also the choreographer behind Sia’s “Chandelier” video with Shia LaBeouf and Maddie Ziegler.
“This will go down as perhaps the most unexpectedly off-the-rails” of all the ads Jonze has ever directed, declares Collider.
Perfume-wearers after a luscious, glamorous choice that will make them feel like one of Hollywood’s Golden Age starlets certainly have their fill.

As Margaret pulls some pretty spectacular faces and rampages around the gilded setting, she’s playing out something most girls do in their bedroom mirrors to entertain themselves since the invention of the Walkman. “This clip is exactly the opposite”, said Qualley, who is clad in a green dress designed by Leon and Lim in the film.
