Snapchat’s Serena Williams Video Game is Actually Really Fun

The game, also available at SerenaMatchPoint.com, features 22 levels, each representing a Grand Slam final match that Williams won. So in honor of her ongoing mind-boggling ability to slay on the court – and the start of the 2016 U.S. Open on Monday – Gatorade partnered with Serena to release a brand-new interactive game on Snapchat, an app with which the tennis champ and social media star is no stranger.

Snapchat has released its first multi-level game on the app and it features Serena Williams, a tennis superstar who has won 22 major titles in her career and will be going for her 23rd win on September 10.

NEW YORK-Serena Williams has been here before.

Williams will need to be at her best during her first-round match against Makarova, a Russian now ranked 29th but as high as eighth a year ago and who has beaten the American once in their five meetings.

“I’m OK with it”, Williams said. It’s a forgettable move and one that’s more marketing than gaming, but it does give us at least a glimpse into what the future of the platform could look like.

“I knew today I needed to be focused because I’ve played her”.

Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams opens her account against Ukraine’s Kateryna Kozlova. She knows how to play big matches on big courts. It’s the kind of form she’s hoping to regain as she begins her bid for a record 23rd major title. “I’ve just got to do the best I can”.

Murray is bidding to complete a golden summer having added the Olympic title to his Wimbledon crown. “He goes for his shots and takes a lot of risks”. He’s back at Flushing Meadows for the first time since 2013, playing fellow Argentine Diego Schwartzman in the first round Tuesday.
