The Czech global has joined Sparta Prague, the club where he grew up.

He retired from global football following the tournament and has now agreed a two-year contract with Sparta, the club with whom he began his senior career in 1998.

Following his release by the Gunners at the end of the 2015/16 season the midfielder has been training at London Colney.

Rosicky departed the Emirates last summer after 10 years at Arsenal to a guard of honour from his team-mates, many of whom wore No.7 shirts to commemorate their former colleague.

Rosicky won the FA Cup during his time with Arsenal and clinched the 2001-02 Bundesliga title with Dortmund.

Rosicky is yet to announce if he will retire from worldwide football but featured at Euro 2016 and has 105 caps.

“[Owner Daniel] Kretinsky had my word that I would return if I’m healthy”.

‘I haven’t come here to play football, I come here to win.

“I’m starting to train with the team now, which is what I need right now”. “It’s unbelievable we meet here again”.
