Gatorade releases Serena Williams Snapchat video game ad
Rendered in simplistic, colorful 8-bit animation, the 22-level game takes you through each of Williams’s major match points for those Grand Slam titles over 17 years. He’s back at Flushing Meadows for the first time since 2013, playing fellow Argentine Diego Schwartzman in the first round Tuesday. Williams is expected to break a record despite an early loss at the Olympics this summer.

The game includes 22 levels of tennis, with each level representing one of the 22 Grand Slam singles titles Williams has won in her career.
The game is available in Snapchat’s ESPN Discover channel, as mentioned, but it’s also available on the web courtesy of Gatorade if you’re an old or otherwise unwilling to locate it in the Snapchativerse. If she succeeds, a 23rd level will be added to the game that day.
You can play this for yourself by searching for ESPN’s Discover channel on Snapchat by swiping left from the main screen and then searching for ESPN. It’s simple-you just tap to send the ball left or right-and you can play it in the app or in your browser.
Players can simply tap to start the game.
In other Day Two action, Agnieszka Radwanska, one of three women who could replace Williams atop the world rankings this fortnight, plays American Jessica Pegula while sixth seed Venus Williams opens against Kateryna Kozlova of Ukraine. Those looking to beat their score might want to try the game on their desktop via the game’s website, with the controls being the same besides clicking to serve and hit the ball.
Tennis fans can watch Williams go for her 23rd title win by tuning in to coverage on ESPN.
