As a result the striker has been linked with a move away from the Etihad all summer as Pep Guardiola continues to overhaul the squad he inherited from Manuel Pellegrini.
In need of striking options, West Ham were interested in signing Bony on a short-term loan until the new year, but according to the Mirror now face competition from other Premier League clubs for the 27-year-old’s signature.
The Ivory Coast global has been reportedly linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer with West Ham keen on signing the striker earlier in August.
Bony himself certainly expects to be on the move, posting on social media earlier this morning: “It’s a new day and I look forward to a new exciting [sic] challenge”.
Bony joined City in January 2015 from Swansea for £28million, but has struggled to win a regular place in the first-team at the Etihad.
