Tomic courts controversy again with lewd rant at heckler
Australian bad boy Bernard Tomic has caused a stir at the US Open after he was caught directing a lewd comment at a spectator.

The match ended with Dzumhur winning 6-4, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6.
Tomic, the son of a Croatian father and Bosnian mother, had immigrated to Australia when he was a boy. I apologised for what I said to him. It’s tough. I watched a little bit today of [Janko] Tipsarevic also and [Sam] Querrey.
“I just saw he left and the crowd clapped a bit but I have no idea who he is”.
“I was trying to come up with a comeback, I didn’t want to say anything, he was an old man”.
“I had problems on the other end, as well, with a few people in the corner”.
“They were saying some negative stuff to me, in my language of Serbian-Croatian”. However, the microphone didn’t pick up what the heckler had said.
It’s Tomic’s second slip of the tongue in two months, with the 23-year-old forced to apologise at Wimbledon after saying he was left stranded “like a retard” on court for several minutes waiting for his first-round opponent to arrive.
Elsewhere, Ivo Karlovic sent down a US Open record 61 aces during his five-set victory over Yen-Hsun Lu of Taiwan. On-court microphones picked up some of the exchange, including Tomic telling the spectator, “I will put my balls in your mouth”.
In July past year, he was arrested in Miami after a wild party in a hotel penthouse suite.

Tomic, seeded 17 for the tournament, committed 78 unforced errors in his tame defeat to Dzumhur who goes on to face either Illya Marchenko of Ukraine or Croatia’s Ivan Dodig. “But if you listen to the fans too much, it’s not good for you”.
