Sam Bradford urges everyone not to overreact to the preseason
Just don’t make any judgments based on what the Colts do Saturday night against Philadelphia.

Heard that one before. “I know what we are capable of”. In that game Sam Bradford completed 14-of-19 passes for 115 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions while Kenjon Barner rushed six times for 41 yards and a score.
Through three preseason games, Barner has rushed for one touchdown and 115 yards on 18 carries (6.4 average). We all know how that turned out – an up-and-down season for the signal-caller, and a 7-9 record for the Eagles.
“I’d really just like to see our offense be efficient in Game 3”, Bradford added. “He’s still a little bit sore, so we’ll monitor that and make sure he rests here in the next couple of days”. He looks confident and is stepping up in the pocket, making good decisions, throwing the football accurately and with anticipation.
This will be it, the final game in which Eagles fans will see the team’s starting players on the field until the regular season begins to unfold September 11. “I’d be lying if I said I personally am not going to miss him next to me”, Castonzo said.
OK, if you weren’t excited to see Green-Beckham sky over a cornerback to pluck a Bradford fade out of the air for a four-yard touchdown, you may not have a pulse. Not saying DGB is going to post prolific numbers in 2016, but he can be a unsafe weapon in the red zone if nowhere else.
He’s one of the lone players along the Colts offensive line that the team really can’t afford to be anxious about and quite frankly, shouldn’t be-given what we’ve seen from his play in the past.
Josh Huff #13 of the Philadelphia Eagles runs into the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts in the second quarter of an preseason National Football League game at Lucas Oil Stadium on August 27, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The similarities in the two plays were that they highlighted Huff’s strengths of having the ball in his hands in space, where he can use his speed and strength to break tackles and get past defenders.
Wouldn’t it be something if Burton played a role in the offense this season?
The Eagles are 3-0 in the preseason and there have been many things to like this summer. It works hand-in-hand – coverage and pressure.
Bennie Logan and Fletcher Cox. That’s what I wanted when I hired Jim Schwartz and that’s what you’re seeing. “We want to limit the hits on him”. “We came back and made it happen the second time”.
There can be no denying, however, that Nelson Agholor and Josh Huff, a pair of draft picks the past two years, have been woefully inconsistent. “We were beating ourselves, doing insane things like jumping offsides or holding”. They’ve all been pretty good. He hasn’t been tested as much in coverage, but the 6-foot-2, 241-pound linebacker is proving his worth against the ground attack. Haeg, who was hurt against Baltimore last week, had been playing well.
Smith had a team-high seven tackles, which is not a good statistic for a cornerback.
The most likely option moving forward until Mewhort returns is replacing him with backup center Jon Harrison.
The NFL season is right around the corner.
Hoping to find someone to breathe life into a dormant rushing attack, the Colts signed former Patriots starter Stevan Ridley on Sunday.

One last note, and it’s a credit to the coaching staff. They have installed some new wrinkles by way of formations and personnel. We are seeing the start of the same story in 2016. So instead of inundating Green-Beckham with plays for all three wide receiver positions, Pederson has had him learn just one so far – the “X” receiver, or the outside receiver on the line of scrimmage. Running, I didn’t feel like I had that last gear.
