Fellow Rookies Don’t Have Much Love For Ben Simmons

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Kris Dunn was selected by National Basketball Association rookies as the most likely to win the Rookie of the Year award. Interestingly, Simmons, the reigning No. 1 overall selection, finished tied for fourth in that poll with just 6.7 percent of the vote.

So, I ask, is it better to be feared or loved? “You just have to improve. I still have a lot more to learn about the game”.

The NBA may be about to learn what we’ve all been thinking.

Ingram, a 6-9 forward from Duke, was voted as the rookie most likely to have the best career. Ingram was the #1 pick for this, followed by Dunn and Hield.

The rookies picked Kris Dunn as their choice for Rookie of the Year, despite the fact that he’s behind Ricky Rubio at point guard in Minnesota.

If Dunn wins the award, though, he would be the third straight Timberwolves player to do so.

However, when it came to best playmaker, Simmons got the most love – finishing in second play with 26.5-percent behind Dunn with 29.4-percent. With the training camps set to open next month, Dunn is in for a lot of pressure, but good to note is that he takes on the pressure to prove his worth to his team.
