FSU football player eats lunch with student sitting alone

Travis Rudolph, a wide receiver at Florida State, and several other FSU players visited my sons school today.

Bo Paske was eating lunch alone at Montford Middle School in Tallahassee, Florida.

Rudolph, who was visiting the school with teammates, noticed one student, Bo Paske, sitting alone at a lunch table.

“I asked if I could sit next to him, and he said ‘sure, why not?'” Rudolph said after practice on Tuesday.

And for a day, Leah Paske did not have to worry about her son eating lunch by himself. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.

Rudolph, a junior who led the Seminoles in receiving last season, said one of Bo’s first questions was if he was an National Football League player, to which he responded “not yet”.

Paske said she has been very anxious about her son starting middle school, so the kind act meant everything to her.

Rudolph told Seminoles.com he saw the child sitting alone and decided to make his way over to him, hoping to make a positive impact. “And I remember what the impact was when I saw guys that played in college football and the NFL coming back to us”.

“I have feelings of anxiety for him, and sometimes they can be overwhelming if I let them”, Leah wrote. Sometimes the answer is a classmate, but most days it’s nobody. And he doesn’t seem to mind if he eats lunch alone. “He is a super sweet child, who always has a smile and a hug for everyone he meets”. It’s one of my daily questions for him.

The gesture, she says, made her exceedingly happy and have made them fans for life! “And for the mom, if he needs my (cell) number, he can get it”.

Jimbo Fisher likes to tell his players that they can make someone’s day just by being themselves.
