The England worldwide goalkeeper found himself second choice behind Willy Caballero for City’s opening games of 2016-17, with Claudio Bravo’s arrival from Barcelona seemingly demoting Hart to third choice.

The 29-year-old was photographed in Turin on Tuesday and the deal is now set to be completed before the 31 August transfer deadline.

Hart will have the opportunity to prove himself worth after England’s bad outing at Euro 2016.

“Suddenly, my career has undergone a change, I took it as a sign of destiny, so I had to do something…” the goalkeeper admitted.

“The selection of Turin has come at the right time, the right way. That’s also why I immediately accepted President Cairo’s offer with great enthusiasm”. I’m pleased to be able to play in a great and hard league which is Serie A.

“The history of goalkeepers in Italy is known everywhere”. In terms of the staff, I already know Lombardo, I worked together with Attillio in Manchester and we won, we hope to relive a lot of wonderful emotions together. “I’ve read a few interviews about Toro and the coach wants his players to be humble and ambitious, and I like this a lot because that is how I want to be”. “I like that. That’s how I want to be”.

Hart has made 348 appearances for City in a ten-year spell, could then make his Serie A debut for Torino at Atalanta on September 11.

Once the deal is confirmed Hart will rejoin the England squad for Sunday’s first 2018 World Cup qualifying match in Slovakia, reports the BBC.
