Chris Brown’s home search after gun allegation
Following a freaky, hours-long stand-off with police, the “No Air” and “Kiss Kiss” singer was arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a woman called for help from a gathering at his home.

Brown came out of the house peacefully after posting videos online criticising police and denying reports that he was barricaded inside.
However, model Baylee Curran told the Los Angeles Times that Brown pointed a gun at her face.
She says she was admiring the diamond necklace of a man who had been showing off his jewelry when the man got angry and told her to back away. She told the entertainment news site she had partied with Brown in the past and he had been nice, but in Tuesday night’s incident (local time) he appeared to be “out of it”.
Chris Brown can’t avoid trouble. The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division, which in addition to high profile and complex murders and robberies also handles cases involving VIPs and celebrities, is investigating the case.
Police say officers first responded to Brown’s Los Angeles home around 3 a.m.
On Tuesday morning, one of Brown’s neighbors, television and radio host Jillian Barberie, tweeted the noise from helicopters as they flew over the area. He did not identify the woman, elaborate on the assistance she needed or know if she was injured. “Call the police”, Ms Curran said on her Instagram account, AFP news agency reported.
“When I call police, for stalker people who are endangering my life, they don’t come until the next day”, Brown said. He spent 2½ months in custody, with USA marshals shuttling him between Los Angeles and the nation’s capital for court hearings.
“Good luck. When you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you’re going to walk right up in here and you’re going to see nothing, you idiots”, he said in one video. He says detectives hope to talk to Brown, the woman, and any witnesses. Various media organizations live-streaming the scene showed a man in a red baseball cap sitting on outside the house on the front walkway and smiling with police, as Geragos paced nearby.
After the lengthy standoff, police by early afternoon had obtained a search warrant and entered the singer’s home.
Calls and emails seeking comments from Geragos and other representatives were not returned Tuesday.
Police Lt. Chris Ramirez told reporters that the call came early Tuesday from outside the residence in the Tarzana neighborhood.
The R&B singer, who topped the U.S. singles chart with “Run It!” and “Kiss Kiss”, has had years of run-ins with the law. He spent six years on probation after pleading guilty to attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
