Abedin, who is expected to play a major behind-the scenes role if her boss is elected president, announced Monday she was separating from her husband, Anthony Weiner, after the former NY congressman was accused of sending lewd photographs and messages to yet another woman.

Weiner resigned as NY congressman in 2011 after photos of a sexual nature emerged of him with another woman. She didn’t leave even when a recent documentary blew up tense moments in their marriage to big-screen proportions.
“After long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband”, said Abedin in a statement yesterday (Monday). “I know Anthony Weiner well and she will be far better off without him”.
The New York Post revealed that in the latest sexting scandal, former congressman sent multiple explicit photos to a 40-something busty brunette divorcee out West for the past 19 months. The photos included two close-ups of Weiner’s bulging underpants.
In one of the photos, the former Democratic lawmaker appears in his underwear on a bed and next to him can be seen a little boy, supposedly his son.
In a comment to the Post, Weiner said he and the other woman “have been friends for some time”.
Weiner didn’t return a call, text or email from The Associated Press.
The Post didn’t say how it obtained the photographs and messages. Abedin often travels with the Clinton campaign. It’s just another example of Hillary Clinton’s bad judgement. He suggested that Weiner might have compromised national security, but offered no evidence to support the allegation.
“Huma is making a very wise decision”. “Who knows what he learned and who he told?”
She added: “Clinton is now in the final stretch of her campaign”.
Congressional Republicans have raised questions about whether Abedin skirted ethics guidelines during her 2012 work as an adviser to Clinton while she also worked for Teneo Holdings, a consulting firm co-founded by Doug Band, a former aide to former President Bill Clinton.
Abedin chose to stay with her husband at the time.
One of the photos featured Weiner posing topless next to what appears to be his sleeping son, Jordon. After initially claiming his account was hacked, Weiner acknowledged inappropriate online communication with several women.

This weekend, reports in the United States press alleged that in July 2015, Mr Weiner texted a woman a sexually suggestive picture of himself with his sleeping four-year-old next to him.
