Crystal Palace are in advanced talks to land Jack Wilshere on loan after 22 clubs registered an interest in him.

“Last night we were told Wilshere was considering season-long loan deals from five clubs with three from the Premier League – Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Watford – and two from Portugal, Sporting Lisbon and Benfica”.

Wilshere needs regular action to work his way back into England contention and seemingly must decide between the Cherries and Palace on deadline day.

There have been enquiries from elsewhere on the continent, but Press Association Sport understands it is fellow Premier League teams Palace and Bournemouth who most appeal.

Calum Chambers also joined Middlesbrough on loan until the end of the season, and the London club are expecting Serge Gnabry to permanently join Werder Bremen.

We do not know if the driving force behind this move comes from Arsene Wenger or the player himself, with some feeling that his being left out of the first England squad selected by the new manager Sam Allardyce may well have been the catalyst.

The England global has slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal behind summer signing Granit Xhaka, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny and Aaron Ramsey. The tabloid newspaper has claimed an exclusive to suggest that the Rossoneri have made an offer that would see Wilshere move to the San Siro on loan, before a £30m permanent move in the summer.

Wilshere has been closely linked with rival Premier League moves but the North London based outfit reportedly want the England worldwide to move abroad and gain experience in a league overseas.

He has attracted intense interest since awareness of his availability has spread. “The chairman and the board have done brilliantly”.
