UFC 202 Nate Diaz Post-Fight Press Conference Video and Highlights

On Saturday all that anger came pouring out as the two went shot for shot over 5 rounds with the judges giving McGregor the decision.

Whether it’s Aldo or Diaz next, McGregor continues to be the main attraction in MMA, and that doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon.

“All I know is that it’s 1-1”, McGregor said. White stated multiple times in the lead up to this one that McGregor was either going to fight Aldo next or vacate the featherweight title.

McGregor definitely had a better game plan this fight, and he managed his energy and gas much better. Now you’ll come back to 155 and we’ll finish what we’ve started.

“It’s 1-1 – regroup, boy, we’ll do it again. They’re gonna get me out where they can, but it’s all good though….” Now you want this trilogy, it happens on my terms.

“If you want the trilogy, come back down to 155 pounds and we’ll do it”. Which mean Diaz will have to either sit idle or take another fight over the next year.

Never having never gone the full distance in a UFC bout before, the Irishman looked exhausted in the fourth round but excellent takedown defense kept him in the fight. He didn’t go out and get it like I wanted him to get it.

“I’m not surprised, the king is back“, said McGregor. “It’s hard to not say something sometimes but I was just saying some shit”.

McGregor has the UFC featherweight title to defend against former rival Jose Aldo or risk being stripped of the crown, while a possible superfight against boxer Floyd Mayweather – nearly certain to be a boxing match rather than a mixed martial arts affair – has been mooted with both men publicly declaring their interest.

The fighters first met in March, and late replacement Diaz pulled off the upset via second-round submission.

Conor McGregor defeated Nate Diaz at UFC 202 in one of the greatest mixed martial arts contests of all time in Las Vegas. “I thought I won that fight”.

The two have gone back and forth for months, with both McGregor and Mayweather expressing interest in the fight.
