Apple iPhone 7 confirmed for September 7 unveiling

We know that Apple plans to launch something on Wednesday 7 September and are 99.9 per cent certain it will be at least two phones: the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Amid a particularly turbulent time in Europe, Apple’s primary sales driver, the iPhone, is due an upgrade, with September the month fans of the company usually get to see the latest device.

A dual-lens camera, a thinner, water-resistant chassis but no 3.5-mm headphone jack are among the rumored changes to Apple’s upcoming iPhone.

Anyhow it is expected that the iPhone 7 Plus will be equipped with one or two additional features. Much like its earlier announcements, Apple will undoubtedly announce component upgrades that will make its iPhone 7 faster and more capable of handling graphics-intensive tasks-if the smartphone is in fact announced at the event.

The predicted iPhone 7 launch comes hot on the heels of its main rival Samsung’s lauch of the Galaxy Note 7 which has been roundly praised by the tech media.

Recent reports hint at a 256GB storage option for iPhone 7. If rumors are true, then the 1715 mAh battery from the iPhone 6s will be bumped to 1960mAh, while the battery capacity of the iPhone 7 Plus will jump from 2750 mAh to 2910mAh. So, let’s have our fingers’ crossed and eagerly wait to see the new iPhone 7 to hit the markets.

“Update 25/07: Serial leaker @evleaks has revealed that the iPhone 7 (and, indeed, the iPhone 7 Plus) will hit shelves on the “. week of September 12th”. According to reports, Apple iPhone 7 will be up for pre-orders on September 9 and it could be in stores by September 16.

Apple reported its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2016 on July 26. Apple has yet to confirm details of its new phone.

The biggest rumour seems to indicate that Apple is ditching the headphone jack in favour of using the Lightning port for headphones.
