After showing marked improvement in accuracy and leadership over the a year ago, Bridgewater suffered what likely will be a season-ending injury at practice on Tuesday.

After the practice, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer seemed to be fighting back tears as he talked about how Bridgewater had to be sedated after the injury. The injury occurred with Bridgewater’s left leg, and reports are now circulating that his “leg snapped” and “his knee was flailing around”. Still, Bridgewater is unlikely to play this season. This is a rare instance in which in the absence of high-definition video is probably a good thing, and it will be almost impossible not to root for a full recovery for Teddy Bridgewater in the future. If Shaun Hill is going to have a chance at leading the Vikings back to the postseason, he will need his defense and 31-year-old running back Adrian Peterson to carry the load.
Zamora, who caught nine passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns last season, had been listed as a starter on the depth chart that the team released Monday.
“I’m not going to let this team feel sorry for itself”, Zimmer said before the full details of his injury were known.

“It’s tough today but tomorrow the sun’s going to (come up)”, Zimmer said.
Zimmer said he spoke several times Tuesday with hall of famer Bill Parcells, who was Dallas’ coach from 2002-06 when Zimmer was the defensive coordinator and is a mentor. We’re going to fight like we always do.
