Antonio Conte happy with Chelsea’s spirited comeback
Batshuayi, who joined from Marseille for £33.1 million in the summer, came off the bench to provide an assist for Diego Costa against West Ham United in their Premier League opener, and scored the equaliser in the Blues’ 2-1 comeback win over Watford at the weekend.

It was the second successive match in which Costa has scored a late victor after his decider against West Ham United last Monday and Conte took heart from his team s battling comeback.
“It’s normal because you push during the game for 70 minutes, usually the opponents pay for their efforts at the end of the game”.
“We all know Cesc’s quality, he’s a great player but it’s important to understand that we are at the beginning of the season and I am looking for the right balance”.
Batshuayi will himself be delighted to have got his Premier League career off to such a strong start, having arrived at Stamford Bridge with a big reputation.
Meanwhile, Watford boss Walter Mazzarri is still waiting for his first win and he was upset with their collapse in the final 10 minutes.
“We want to mix it with the best teams and we did today”.
“They can play together, not only during the game but also from the start”.
“I am pleased to be a Chelsea player and I am happy with the start”. It may have been at his near post, but there was little that he could do with Etienne Capoue’s second-half strike.
The Italian said he would not be able to sleep after blaming mistakes from his own players for both of Chelsea’s goals. We can hold our heads high. I think we showed a great intensity in the second half and we pushed them a lot.
“It s important to change the situation compared to last season and we are trying to do that with all our strength”. We were not focused at either goal.

“It is early, we have a good team, but of course we want to be the champions”.
