Former New York mayoral candidate Weiner in another sexting scandal

Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin has announced she is splitting from her husband, former NY congressman Anthony Weiner, following yet another sexting revelation. The couple had a child, Jordan, in 2011. The newspaper claimed the image was one of several he had sent to an unnamed woman as part of a series of flirtatious exchanges. “During this hard time, I ask for respect for our privacy”. He and his wife both have stressful jobs that probably keep them separated a lot of the time, and on the scale of shitty things to do to a romantic partner, sexting is relatively low compared to, say, cheating and giving your partner an STD.

‘Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what is best for our son, who is the light of our life.

She insisted to the “Post” that the pair, who continued to send messages until earlier in August, had never met, although he had asked her several times to come to NY.

Trump immediately seized on the aide’s marital split to accuse Clinton of “bad judgment”.

This is not about Hillary Clinton or Anthony Weiner, and it’s certainly not about Huma Abedin’s personal decision to leave a deteriorating marriage.

“I know Anthony Weiner well, and she will be far better off without him”, crowed Trump.

The statement went on to criticise Clinton for allowing Weiner close proximity to classified information, suggesting that this had compromised USA security. “Who knows what he learned and who he told? It is possible that our country and its security have been greatly compromised by this”.

Anthony Weiner’s political career lays in tatters after the former US Republican congressman was caught sexting for a third time.

“I only worry for the country in that Hillary Clinton was careless and negligent in allowing Weiner to have such close proximity to highly classified information”, Donald Trump said in reaction to the scandal, according to the New York Times. “Weiner”, the documentary offering a cringe-inducing inside view of his mayoral campaign and its unraveling, played in theaters earlier this year and is set to air on Showtime this fall. It was the final straw on the marriage and today Abedin released a statement saying she would separate from Weiner.

“They didn’t have a release”. A spokeswoman for the film disputed that account to the Times.

Weiner has since remained in the public eye, commenting on politics on cable news shows. The donations were first reported Monday by NBC News.

Mr Weiner deleted his Twitter account after the latest report surfaced and it has been reported that news outlets NY1 and The New York Daily News chose to cut ties with him this week.

A year later he sat down with Ms Abedin for a 2012 People magazine interview in which he said he had undergone therapy and was content as a stay-at-home father.
