Online court records show Kevin Ewing is wanted on charges that include kidnapping, terroristic threats and weapons violations.

Pennsylvania State Police say Kevin Ewing, a man free on bond while awaiting trial on charges he beat his wife Tierne Ewing while holding her captive for almost two weeks, kidnapped her again at gunpoint Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, from a residence in West Finley Township, Pa., about 50 miles southwest of Pittsburgh along the West Virginia border.

A woman who police say was abducted by her estranged husband early Tuesday morning was found dead in West Finley Township on Tuesday night, the woman’s father told Pittsburgh’s WPXI-TV. She was found dead following a three-hour standoff with state police late Tuesday.

Capt. David Heckman of the Pennsylvania State Police said police found a.22-caliber firearm, a sleeping bag and other camping items on the second floor of the barn, indicating Kevin Ewing planned to be there for a long time.

State police at the Washington, Pennsylvania barracks say 47-year-old Kevin Ewing abducted 48-year-old Tierne (TEER’-nee) Ewing at gunpoint from a residence in West Finley Township at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

“He threatened her all the time, and he beat her up several times”, Richard Kopko said.

Kevin Ewing was supposed to be under house arrest on Tuesday, Aug. 30, after he was charged last month with holding his wife hostage for two weeks, brutalizing her and threatening to kill her.

Ewing was accused earlier of keeping his wife captive from June 26 to July 8.

Tierne escaped after Kevin sent her into a bank; she locked herself into a secure room there after telling bank employees she was being held captive.

Riggle told police that at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, she could hear arguing and noises coming from the downstairs area of her home. When Riggle tried to intervene, her son pushed her down, the affidavit said.

By 9 p.m., police surrounded a barn several miles from where the woman was abducted. He also reportedly had a pill bottle full of ammunition for the gun. At one point, he hit her in the head with a handgun, the paper reports, an injury that had been stapled shut at home, not in a hospital. Kevin Ewing reportedly forced Tierne Ewing to pack clothing and food in bags.

He allegedly ordered both his wife and mother out of the house and to his wife’s auto and said he should have killed the victim and himself the first time. CBS Pittsburgh reported that he had removed the ankle bracelet by cutting it off. The abandoned auto was discovered Tuesday morning, sparking a massive search.

When police arrived, Mr. Ewing was sitting in the driver’s seat of a pickup truck. Ewing allegedly held her against her will for 12 days, pistol-whipping her and burning her with a metal hot dog stick. A police spokeswoman said that, after holding his wife captive for almost a day, Ewing ended her life sometime before 11 p.m on Tuesday.

R.I.P. Tierne, you deserve that at least. “I don’t want to die”.

Tierne Ewing did not testify at her husband’s July 26 preliminary hearing before District Judge Jay Weller. He was scheduled for an October 12 formal arraignment.
