Clinton wraps up Hamptons fundraising swing
But for many, the blowout bash of Clinton’s fundraising summer just may be the party at Jimmy Buffett’s house in the Hamptons on Tuesday night.

Clinton, the state’s former USA senator who has often vacationed in the Hamptons with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, also attended a cocktail reception in Bridgehampton on Sunday night, where tickets ranged from $US1,000 to $US33,400.
SAGAPONACK, N.Y. (AP) Hillary Clinton is wrapping a fundraising blitz in the Hamptons, where she has racked up millions during a three-day swing. McCartney played “Lady Madonna”, “Jet” and “Can’t Buy Me Love”, and, regarding the circumstances, joked, “This is the first time I’ve paid to hear myself sing!”
Entry into the dinner and concert started at $US10,000, but guests could opt to pay $US100,000 for “premium seating” and the chance to attend a private reception with Clinton. The trio closed out the show with a performance of “Hey Jude”.
Television personality Andy Cohen shared a video on his Instagram account, showing Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, standing in front of the stage, as Hillary Clinton bobbed her head to the tune of the song.
In total, Clinton attended nine fundraisers between Sunday and Tuesday, plus an additional event attended by donors where she didn’t raise money for her campaign. Proceeds went to the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint venture of her campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state parties.
Last month, Clinton’s campaign received $90 million in campaign contributions, while Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump reported an $80 million fundraising haul. At an event Monday she told guests that “this is the most unpredictable election season that I certainly can remember”. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
