Teyana Taylor has loved the 80s since ‘My Super Sweet 16’

Some might think that three year olds don’t really have any idea when it comes to fashion, especially designing clothes, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West would definitely have something to say about that. The original clip stars Teyana Taylor borrowing some undulating dance steps from the 1983 movie Flashdance and adding a new provocative moves before turning into a catwoman. Music rep asking if she’d like to participate in the “Fade” video. “At that point he didn’t have to tell me twice”, explained Taylor, who also revealed that a portion of the “Fade” choreography was originally intended for Beyoncé’s “End of Time”.

Back in the day, however, she was just Teyana on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16”. “Gave her direction and she made changes quickly”.

“I think the vision behind that was how unbelievable Teyana is, and how she’s been on the rise, and how she’s working, and you are now seeing her blossom into this fierce lioness, this fierce cat”. With a steamy scene including her fiancé and Cavaliers star Iman Shumpert, the feel of the video was very up close and personal. Also slaying the stage was Britney Spears, making her first VMA appearance since 2007 to perform her new hit Make Me with California rapper G-Eazy. “You know, the lioness always protects her baby”, Blaze continued. And that’s where she is in her life right now.
