Following the “Diamonds” hitmaker’s confession that he was “in love” with the the 28-year-old Rihanna at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) at Madison Square Garden in NY on Sunday (28.08.16) a source has revealed that the pair are in fact a couple.

He said they met in 2005. The singer arrived on the red carpet accompanied by the mothers of three African-American men who have died at the hands of US police in the past two years.
Rihanna looked absolutely fabulous as always as she showed off her legs in a white blouse mini dress.
“She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old”, Drake said, Sunday night.
The R&B superstar was chosen as the recipient of this year’s (16) Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and her frequent collaborator and rumoured beau Drake was on hand to present her with the prestigious golden Moonman trophy at Sunday’s (28Aug16) ceremony.
Drake and Rihanna are official. Media attention on the singer’s love life and her relationship status intensified, and it was about this time that Rihanna was reportedly spotted at Lucky Strike in Manhattan with Drake.
After the show wrapped, according to Page Six, they had dinner at Carbone in Greenwich Village, then went to an after party at Up&Down nightclub thrown by her label, Roc Nation.
“I know that Beyonce is here because she just walked past everybody and literally the earth stopped spinning”. His eyes were never off her.
Drake’s declaration of love during the VMAs wasn’t the first time he’s expressed his affection for Rihanna, but it may be the most swoon-worthy.
Of the second portion of the video for Work, Swedish director Tim Erem told Entertainment Weekly that Drake and Rihanna “are just two friends that are really close to each other”. Later in the evening, she rocked a gold sequin ensemble as she accepted three awards, including Best Female Video and Best R&B Video for “Crazy in Love”. All in all, Beyoncé already won 24 Moonmen trophies that include the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in 2014.
Drake also bought a billboard saluting Rihanna for her MTV honor and later shared a selfie of the two kissing.
