Vikings QB options after Teddy Bridgewater injury

Zimmer said he had no timetable for Bridgewater’s return, but said “it doesn’t look good right now” when asked if Bridgewater would play again this season. The team said an MRI revealed a dislocated knee, tears to the ACL and other structural damage.

“We’re not going to stick our heads in the sand”, the coach claimed. “We’ve got some great football players on this team, we’ll figure out ways to win football games if he’s not here, And that’s what we’re going to do”. The Vikings have a stout defense, a top three running back, and an underrated receiving corps that now includes Laquon Treadwell but the loss of Bridgewater is huge as it completely changes the dynamic of this offense.

Warner also emphasized the importance of being surrounded by a strong team and said that will be crucial for Minnesota’s quarterback situation.

The Vikings had released the quarterback earlier in the day Tuesday before their 2016 Super Bowl aspirations were taken away with Teddy as he left Winter Park in an ambulance. We’re not looking for excuses.

The Minnesota Vikings begin life without Teddy Bridgewater in their preseason finale on Thursday as they welcome the LA Rams to town.

“There are a lot of different things going on around Shaun Hill now where he needs to be who he’s always been”, Warner said. The Rams need this game to gain some momentum and with the Bridgewater injury fresh in their minds I don’t see Minnesota putting out anyone who could get hurt in this one.

Tibiofemoral dislocation … basically, Bridgewater’s femur (upper leg) went off the tibia (shin, lower leg.) Yeah. Fortunately, there appears to be no nerve or arterial damage. I would like to thank all the medical professionals and our athletic training staff for all of their help today. Teddy has already displayed the attitude needed to overcome this injury and attack his rehab.
