NFL Preseason: Jameis Winston shaky in Buccaneers debut

Whatever the case, Jameis Winston, seemingly full of jitters, got off to a pretty rough start for the Buccaneers in his first preseason game against the Vikings.

The Buccaneers biggest need here was a quarterback, as it was obvious that Josh McCown and Mike Glennon were not the answer and they hope that first overall pick Jameis Winston is the answer. That’s what you judge your quarterback on, decision-making.

Finally, at 9:00PM ET the Cardinals will host the Chiefs as 2.5-point favorites after the line opened at 3 points.

The game seems to be just what many predicted: some good and some bad, and a lot of inconsistencies.

Minnesota is coming off a 14-3 win in the NFL Hall of Fame Game against Pittsburgh last week, getting touchdowns from MyCole Pruitt and Joe Banyard.

CINCINNATI – Andy Dalton completed all three of his passes, and the Bengals’ starting offense was impressive in its only drive.

Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater finished 7 of 8 for 86 yards and backup Shaun Hill was 8 of 9 for 104 yards, completing touchdowns passes to Cordarrelle Patterson and Adam Thielen. Most of that production came in the two-minute warning, when he led the team down the field on a 76-yard drive and ran in the only touchdown he scored today. Doug Martin has been banged up each of the last two seasons, but his rookie year saw him run for almost 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns. During camp, coach Lovie Smith has said how Bell’s speed has been great and tonight he should be a big factor. He also says he won’t play scared and promises to learn from his mistakes.

Winston started slowly, suffered an interception on his eighth pass but also led the Bucs on a pair of scoring drives – a 32-yard field goal to end the first quarter and Winston’s 8-yard touchdown run with 1:04 left in the half. The former Florida State lightning-rod star had a pass intercepted by former Virginia Tech standout Antone Exum, mishandled two snaps that led to a total of 19 lost yards and threw several passes well off target. But he did get it going late in the first half.

The NFL Preseason Football Schedule 2015 will feature three games this Saturday night August 15, 2015.

Jameis Winston has got me watching the Bucs again”, he said. Among them are the Bucs vs Vikings 2015 (live score results below).
