Apple Inc. (AAPL) to unveil iPhone 7 on September 7

Reports the iPhone 7 will be Apple’s first without a headphone jack are gathering credence after a Russian patent filing emerged detailing new wireless headphones, called AirPods. The major changes are with the hardware – the removal of the 3.5 mm headphone jack and the addition of dual rear cameras.

According to a report via technology website, Phone Radar, iPhone 7 will come in two variants, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Thus, it seems that Apple is all stocked to bring the latest products to the market this year, but fans will have to wait to get updates on each of the products as they are released.

In related news, a working iPhone 7 Plus has surfaced online via YouTube ahead of its launch. The launching event is being at 10 AM at the Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. There have been a few rumors going around the internet which state that the iPhone 7 could come with new color options such as blue. While Apple released an iPhone SE almost after two years from the iPhone SE, the iPhone 6SE speculations could now be removed from the mind as the latter will be called as the iPhone 7 itself.

On the positive side: faster chips, a better camera and maybe a larger battery, are the improvements being tipped by tech analysts for Apple’s new iPhone 7 when it’s unveiled next week.

If the trend continues to be same, Apple will launch the iPhone 7 32GB variant for something around Rs. 62,000.

Apple today invited members of the media to a special event on September 7 in San Francisco that will likely include the launch of its next-gen iPhones. The company is also planning to increase the display resolution in the iPhone 7 to enable users to use the device for reading and app navigation. It was scheduled to be launched on 7 September but now it is postponed to a date even further in the next month or may be at the end of September.
