Bamba has departed the Elland Road club after just 18 months due to personal reasons, the club have confirmed.

The teenager made an immediate impression and after becoming a regular component of head coach Garry Monk’s first-team squad, the midfielder has signed fresh terms at Leeds until the summer of 2019.
“It feels great to have managed this within less than a year of first coming to the club, especially because it’s a club like Leeds”, he told the club’s official site.
“The club would like to thank Sol for his contribution throughout his time here and wish him the very best of luck for the future”.
Leeds club captain Sol Bamba has left the Championship side by mutual consent, a day after the Whites signed Eunan O’Kane from Bournemouth. The 31-year-old, who boasts 44 senior global caps for the Ivory Coast, was expected to depart before last night’s transfer deadline.
And now the defender’s shock departure has left Leeds with only three recognised centre-backs in Liam Cooper, Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jannson with the latter duo on loan respectively from Swansea City and Torino. Any potential additions in that area will now have to come via the free agent market as the Football League’s emergency loan window has now been scrapped.
The Whites, now 21st in the table, entertain local rivals and surprise table-toppers Huddersfield Town following the global break.
