“I want to come back”, St-Pierre said during an appearance on UFC Tonight. “We tried. My agent tried to reach them and they’re hard to reach, but I guess they’re going to come back soon”.
Speaking to UFC Tonight, GSP spoke about the terms upon which he would return to the promotion.
“I’m making a lot of money now even though I’m not fighting”, he explained.
According to St-Pierre, he’s not looking to throw his old contract out, but rather adjust it to take into consideration the loss of sponsorship money due to the UFC’s exclusive Reebok deal.
After nearly three years out of action, many would reason the former champion needs to work his way back up to the top of one of the strongest divisions in the UFC.
St-Pierre said he would take on any opponent, claiming, “if it’s something people wanna see, no problem”.

At the end of the day, however, he wasn’t mad at White, focusing on the fact that both sides of this potentially huge business deal have to look out for their own respective best interests. The 35-year-old last fought in November 2013, defeating Johnny Hendricks by split decision to retain the Welterweight title.
UFC 206 is on the horizon, and he makes no mistake in laying out when he wants to fight.

St. Pierre will have met that threshold by the date of the event and he acknowledged it wasn’t a coincidence that he enrolled in the program in time to ensure he would be able to return for the event in his native Canada.
