Luiz was sold by Premier League Chelsea to French side PSG for a world record fee for a defender when he joined the French club for £50 million ($65 million, 58 million euros) in 2014.

He told Sky Sports: “This is sensational, the deal you wouldn’t have expected”.

― File picLONDON, Sept 1 ― Brazil defender David Luiz is overjoyed to be back for a second spell at Chelsea after leaving Paris St Germain on transfer deadline day.

After re-joining the club, speaking to the club website, the 29-year-old Brazilian centre-back said: “I’m delighted to return to Chelsea”.

David Luiz claimed he had a feeling he might play for Chelsea again after sealing his stunning return to Stamford Bridge.

Earlier the Blues had signed defender Marcos Alonson from Fiorentina.

“Of course I want to win the Premier League and of course I want to win all the titles again”, he added.

“It will be an unbelievable opportunity to show to the fans again how I love this club and how I love to play for this club”.

At Manchester City, five players who have fallen out of favour under new manager Pep Guardiola left Eastlands on season-long loans. “PSG couldn’t beleve their luck and I think first of all they tried to keep him because they had no other options and then they thought “the money’s too good, we can’t turn that down, it’s impossible”.

Another England global, midfielder Wilshere, moved on loan to Bournemouth from Arsenal as he looks to get his career back on track after being plagued by injuries in recent seasons.

Luiz feels he has unfinished business at the club he loves and can’t wait to get started again.
