Fort Worth police say a 911 caller told a dispatcher that he killed his mother.

Next-door neighbor Danny Messick said, “Her husband called me at work and said their son called him and told him what he did, and that he was going to call the cops”.

A man is in custody after allegedly killing his mother and admitting to the crime, Fort Worth police say.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the driver as 16-year-old Davion Parks. He told them he did it and said he and his mother had argued. He also confessed to killing her dog, police said.

Shelton’s other son showed up to the home to talk to investigators.

Police responded to the call at 3 p.m.

Neighbors told News 8 that the elderly woman was in her 80s, but hadn’t slowed down.

Messick talked with police.

“She was just an active lady”, said long-time neighbor Peggy James. He said Baker’s demeanor didn’t set off any red flags. And answers that may not come easily or, in this neighborhood, be received easily.

Baker was booked into the Mansfield jail on a murder charge and held on a $250,000 bond.
