On Monday, CAL FIRE announced all evacuation orders related to the Chimney Fire were lifted.
Resources are being moved to other fires as need throughout California.
The number of personnel committed to the fire also dropped Wednesday to 2,532. Crews attacked the fire with the help of aircraft and are continuing to make a containment line. Above-normal daytime temperatures were measured over the fire area Wednesday.
The blaze began just after 4 p.m. August 13. The cause remains under investigation, but CAL FIRE said it has determined that the fire was not intentionally set.
