There’s a free weekend incoming for Overwatch on both Xbox One and PS4 – all you need to do is download the game and you’ll be able to play. Downloads will start on September 9 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET, with free play ending on September 12 at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET.
You’ll be able to play nearly the entire game, sample all 22 characters, play on every map and do so in Quick Play, Custom Games and the Weekly Brawl – Competitive Play is the only omission.

You’ve probably heard of a little title that came out this year by the name of Overwatch. All you need is an internet connection (and Xbox Gold if you owner the Microsoft system), and you’re good to go to play as all 22 characters. The free weekend is set to begin at the following times, put in a handy chart by Steven Khoo from Blizzard in email form. Progress will transfer over to the game if you decide to buy it in the future including loot box unlocks.
