TS Hermine forecast to strengthen over the Gulf of Mexico
The storm is expected to reach Florida late Thursday, when it could be hurricane strength – 74 miles per hour or higher sustained winds.

A hurricane watch and tropical storm warning were in effect in Florida for the area west of Mexico Beach to Destin and another area stretching from the Suwannee to Anclote rivers, the NHC said.
Tropical storm force winds were extending 140 miles to the east of Hermine’s center this morning, and much of Northwest Florida is under a tropical storm warning.
