Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered dislocated knee, torn ACL
The knee was placed in an air cast before he was taken to a nearby hospital. This is not the worst new that the young quarterback could have gotten, as he did not suffer any nerve damage in the knee. This is a tough loss for the Vikings, but the team expects him to make a full recovery. I would like to thank all of the medical professionals and our athletic training staff for all of their help today. Greene says most division one athletes who just have an ACL injury can come back and play at 90 percent, but the averages most likely drop when a knee dislocation is involved.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with an injury in practice on Tuesday, causing the team to cut short its session after 25 minutes.
“We’re not going to stick our heads in the sand”, Zimmer told reporters shortly after Bridgewater crumpled to the ground in Tuesday’s practice, untouched, leaving teammates to curse and pray before an ambulance took him away.
As the Minnesota Vikings awaited test results to confirm what they already knew, that a gruesome knee injury had ended quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s third season before it began, coach Mike Zimmer promised that his team wouldn’t spend long mourning.
“I have confidence in Shaun”, Zimmer said. “I watched it on tape and it was a non-contact type thing, it looked like to me. It was just a freaky deal”. Following the injury the team called off the remainder of the day’s workouts, as many players were visibly shaken from the incident. “We were looking forward to the big game at the new stadium and I think it is going to be a little bit tainted”, Steve Norenberg said.
I forgot to add in my column last week concerning Mark White’s record-tying 99-yard touchdown run in 1974 that my Greenway team did win that game by the score of 18-8 against International Falls.
The Vikings have 36-year-old veteran Shaun Hill as Bridgewater’s primary backup.

Bridgewater released a statement through the Vikings.com website on Thursday. “I’ve talked to his mom a couple times, just trying to update her about what’s going on”. There are great players and great leaders in our locker room who are going to fight to the end to reach the goals we set for 2016. “However we have to do it, if it’s running the ball 65 times or throwing it 65 times, it doesn’t really matter”. The Vikings were not only probably the favorites to repeat as division champions in the NFC North, they were also considered to be a legitimate contender to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
