Teddy Bridgewater’s Knee Explodes
The Minnesota Vikings took a major hit to their Super Bowl hopes at practice on Tuesday when starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with a serious injury to his knee.

The good news in Sugarman’s statement is there “appears to be no nerve or arterial damage”, which would significantly complicate Bridgewater’s rehabilitation process, and the team expects a full recovery.
Earlier this week, Teddy Bridgewater was felled by a gruesome season-ending leg injury in practice.
Bridgewater dropped back to pass during a drill, planted his foot and immediately went down.
As Bridgewater clutched his left knee, linebacker Eric Kendricks and other teammates spiked helmets and shouted expletives.
Moments later, an ambulance from a nearby trauma center arrived at the Vikings’ practice facility with its sirens blaring.
Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer said at a news conference that the extent of the injury is not yet known but admitted it is “possible” Bridgewater will be lost for the season just two weeks before the Vikings’ opener.
“It’s tough today”, an emotional Zimmer said, “but tomorrow the sun’s going to …” Everybody loves him. So it was disappointing for them and I didn’t think we were going to get much out of practice (so he ended it).
“Teddy is such an unbelievable kid, ” Zimmer said. “That’s what we’re going to do”.
The 36-year-old quarterback finds himself in almost the same situation with the Vikings that he was in two years ago, when the Rams lost Sam Bradford for the season on August 23, 2014, just two weeks before they opened the season against Minnesota. That’s a sizable amount of offense gone from a Vikings team built on playing good defense and running the football.
Kelly said Tuesday that Kaepernick will play in the team’s final preseason game Thursday night in San Diego after missing the first two preseason games with a exhausted shoulder. “We’re going to figure out a way”. The biggest thing to me is, let’s get him right.
Here’s everything you need to know to win your league.
The 23-year-old completed 65.3 percent of his passes last season, producing 3,231 yards and 14 touchdowns, and was at the helm of a playoff-caliber team in 2016.
The Lions lost both games they played against the Vikings a year ago, by an average of 9.5 points. “This isn’t a one-man deal”, Zimmer said. Zimmer said he and general manager Rick Spielman “have been talking about” the possibility of bringing in a veteran quarterback.

The Broncos won the title with signal callers Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler, who combined to give Denver one of the worst quarterback situations in the NFL. Tom Brady spent his first year rising on the Patriots’ depth chart, before becoming the starter during the 2001 season.
