The exchange marked the third time this week that Bush has confronted the unpopular war.
Mr Bush was asked on Thursday whether he would repeal President Barack Obama’s executive order banning so-called enhanced interrogation techniques.
His brother’s name is already hurting Jeb Bush. In the last presidential election, former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney answered a heckler with the infamous line, “Corporations are people, my friend”. It took Bush several days to say he would not have invaded, but the week-long struggle became easy fodder for both Democrats and his Republican rivals. It doesn’t change my views. “I get most of my advice from a team we have in Miami, Fla”. (The newspaper partners with Bloomberg Politics on Iowa polling.).
He took a turn working in the Iowa Pork tent, and he spoke at the fair’s political soapbox.
Bush, who spent much of the summer fundraising, is increasingly active on the stump.
“Paul Wolfowitz is providing some advice”, Bush said. “Young people”.
One case which reportedly upset then-President George W Bush involved a detainee being “chained to the ceiling dressed in a diaper”.
“I’ll remind you that my dad in 1980 was probably an asterisk at this point”, Bush told reporters in front of the grandstand.
People are astonished by his physique and a little while after his arrival at the fair, one woman told the former Florida governor that he looked great.
“I wouldn’t know how to drive”. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa. “Everybody in Iraq and everybody in Washington knew that this deal could have been expanded”. In fact, you can fire someone for incompetence in state government in Florida – I’m sorry, that’s a really radical idea.
“I’m doing it”, Bush said, “I’m looking forward to it. This is the fun part”.
Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, the 2012 caucus victor who is again starting off at the bottom of the pack, bills himself as someone who can straddle the divide: An outsider who can get things done. “We solve problems there”. But unlike his predecessors, he enveloped his support of two of Iowa’s largest industry’s – renewable energy and agriculture – at the very beginning of his talk rather than waiting until he was asked a question from the crowd his stand of the two issues. He boasts how toppling Iraq dictator Saddam Hussein was a good decision.
Clinton, though, said the Obama administration had worked “to persuade the Maliki government to permit continuing American support for the Iraqi army”.

Trump continued to say that the Middle Eastern conflict has been a recurring disaster for the Bush presidential family, and that with current developments unfolding, Jeb Bush would continue that trend.
