NBC’s Rodney Harrison publicly apologizes for questioning Colin Kaepernick’s race
“And Colin Kaepernick, he’s not black”, Harrison said.

Harrison went on to describe walking into a store and having people look at him, as if he were going to steal something, despite having a large sum of money in his pocket, and wanting to make a purchase.
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who has found himself in spotlights both favorable and harsh for things he has done and said during his NFL career, said Monday he appreciates the message Colin Kaepernick was trying to send by not standing for the National Anthem Friday but that the 49ers quarterback “could have picked a better platform”.
Rodney Harrison, a former safety for the San Diego Chargers and the New England Patriots, said on a Houston sports talk radio show Tuesday Kaepernick is “not black” and can not understand the prejudice that black men face.
Harrison played 15 years in the NFL.
Kaepernick is multiracial and had an unconventional upbringing. The New Orleans Saints quarterback stressed once again that he has no issue with Kaepernick himself or Kaepernick’s stance on racial injustice. His past experiences with race are why he chose to protest racial oppression and sit out during the national anthem, yet Harrison still felt that he didn’t understand the struggle of the black race. She recently defended her boyfriend in a tweet saying “I’m always proud of him and always will be @Kaepernick7. I said his heart is in the right place, but even with what he’s doing, he still doesn’t understand that we face as a black man or people of color, that’s what I’m saying”. At the same time, you’ve got to honor your country.

NBC’s Rodney Harrison has become one of the few who said something not smart about Kaepernick to admit it. Lord knows I express mine on a daily basis right here on this blog. He has been seen and treated as a black man since his early childhood. If this country begins “representing people the way that it’s supposed to, I’ll stand”. “Please take the time to UNDERSTAND what he is saying”, Diab tweeted with a link to a transcript of his news conference following his protest.
