Ryan Lochte, Laurie Hernandez among new ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestants

Country singer Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko – Kramer joins the cast just days after thanking fans for supporting her in the midst of a split from her husband Mike Caussin.

“I’m dedicated to doing everything I can to help build awareness for improving the lives of our nation’s veterans, and I’m going to use Dancing With the Stars as a stage – literally and figuratively – to do that”. Past contestants have included Bristol Palin, daughter of the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, and singer Donny Osmond. This year, season 23 will feature Amber Rose, Ryan Lochte and Rick Perry, among others. He will be competing against his brother, Valentin Chmerkovskiy and his partner, Olympian gold medal gymnast Laurie Hernandez.

The Rio police claim that Ryan Lochte and three other Olympic athletes went to a gas station and vandalized a bathroom there. He is set to be summonsed to appear in a Rio court.

But still – Lochte wants everyone to just get over it already: “Everyone’s got to be sick and exhausted of hearing about this”.

ABC reports that Lochte plans to approach the show like he would the Olympic Games (no public urination this time, though, please), adding he thinks he’s in for a nice change of pace with DWTS.
