Mourinho laments timing of international break for derby
Jose Mourinho admits Manchester United’s preparation for the derby with Manchester City will be hampered by the global break.

Indeed, if Marcus Rojo does secure a move away from Old Trafford later today, Mourinho could be forced into the market to sign a replacement. There’s a strong argument that Tottenham still want another defender to help bolster their defensive options.
Although Rojo’s departure is not yet certain, if he were to join Valencia, United will have to move fast to secure Fabinho before the transfer window closes at 11 pm. He’s more than a footballer, he even transcends Manchester United to a certain extent. I think he will be a star for the league.
“And it was the best thing for me to not to go”.
He was firm in the belief “It will be a complicated process but we know it is like this when we have these players. I needed that. Now, in games, I’ve gone past thinking where the challenges are coming from, I just play free and enjoy being back on the pitch”.
Asked what the joke was, England left-back Shaw smiled: “I’m not going to say”. I was [training] outside before it was announced [that he would not make it] but I wasn’t training with the team.
The 21-year-old now has the opportunity to nail down a place in the England starting XI and at the start of a new era under Allardyce, what better time to do it?
Waiting for Shaw at United was Jose Mourinho. “I was just going to leave it”, explained the former Southampton full-back. “Patrice Evra was leaving (for Juventus) and Jose, at that time, had a solid back four that I knew he liked”. He has managed to do exactly what he set out to do when he arrived in terms of bringing players to the club – now it is down to them to bring the good times back to the red side of Manchester.
