The Gunners have had a long standing interest in Roma’s 25-year-old centre-back, having made an attempt to sign him last summer. Wilshere, who was left out of Sam Allardyce’s first England squad, has been impressed with Howe and is believed to be have been persuaded to join the club by Benik Afobe, his best friend and former Arsenal team-mate, also at Bournemouth.
This loan should be a great opportunity for Wilshere to prove that he is still a great player when healthy, and if he plays well at Bournemouth he may very well find himself as a key player for Arsenal next season.
But the Cherries succeeded in signing the midfielder, who hopes to revive his club and worldwide career after missing out on Sam Allardyce’s first England squad.
However, following a run of injury setbacks, the combative midfielder has recently struggled to cement his place at the heart of Arsene Wenger’s side.
Serie A clubs Roma and AC Milan were competing with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth for his signature, but Wilshere ended up joining the Cherries on a one-year deal. Thanks for all your support.’ .
But Bournemouth won the race for his signature after reportedly agreeing to pay a £2 million (2.35 million euros, $2.6 million) loan fee and all of Wilshere’s £80,000-per-week wages.
Wilshere, who is not part of Sam Allardyce’s first England squad, could make his Bournemouth debut after the global break at home to West Brom on September 10.

“Bournemouth are a passing team and I can see why Wenger thinks Eddie Howe’s style of play will suit Wilshere but they aren’t going to dominate matches in the way that Arsenal so often do”.
