Samir Nasri has revealed that Pep Guardiola wanted him to stay at Manchester City and fight for his place.

He has completed his medical and will spend the remainder of this season with the La Liga club.
But Nasri had shown signs of turning the situation around as he appeared as a substitute against West Ham at the weekend and Guardiola then said he would remain in his thoughts if he stayed.
But the midfielder missed two friendlies in City’s pre-season tour of China due to being overweight and subsequently failed to secure a role in Guardiola’s side for the new campaign.
“The attacker arrives on loan from Manchester City until June 30 2017 without an option to buy”, Sevilla said in a statement.
