Washington D.C. [USA], Aug. 30 (ANI): After celebrating “different kind of women” a year ago, the famous Pirelli Calendar is back with Oscar-caliber actresses with the exception of Anastacia Ignatova-a Moscow State University professor, credited as “special guest”.
The actresses were pictured by Peter Lindberg, who produced the shots for the calendar in both 1996 and 2002, with 42-year-old Penelope’s just-out-of-bed look taken in NY while Kate posed in London.
It’s pinup time but not as you know it as the Pirelli calendar is back for another year, and this time it’s the leading ladies of Hollywood who are centre stage.
The photos shot by the acclaimed photographer were taken in five locations, over two continents.
Lindbergh told Vogue his visual theme is “that talent is more important than a great body”.
Jessica Chastain, Zhang Ziyi and Rooney Mara round off the list with Lupita Nyong’o, Lea Seydoux, Alicia Vikander, Charlotte Rampling and entrepreneur Anastacia Ignatova.

He added: “Everyone in this calendar, at one point in my life, I wanted to marry and I didn’t have the balls to ask them!” “You look in the fashion magazines and see all of these retouched people. The idea of the calendar is to show what real beauty comes from and not what people impose on you to believe is handsome”.
