Terrorists attack Peshawar’s Christian colony; one civilian, four terrorists killed

Security forces while cordoning off the area has tightened the security whereas aerial surveillance is also being made.

At least one civilian and four suicide bombers have been killed after terrorists attacked Peshawar’s Christian Colony this morning and exchanged fire with security forces, security sources said.

The exchange of fire between an unknown number of suspected terrorists and law enforcement personnel reportedly began around 6am near a neighbourhood called Christian Colony, which is close to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Dawn online reported.

“Terrorist attacked Christian Colony Warsak Road, Peshawar”.

The ISPR added operation against terrorists in Warsak has concluded. All four suicide bombers killed.

Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa said search operation is underway at the site of the attack.

Emergency has been declared in all major hospitals of Peshawar.

Officials said five people, including two FC soldiers and a policeman, were wounded in the gun battle.

A senior security official said the attack took place at around 6:00am. “The military commando’s have moved in”.
