Xiaomi has been a big hit in India.
The Indian smartphone markets have been booming and the country is seeing rapid growth in them.
People are making their purchases on the basis of value for money decisions.
Moreover, the Redmi Note 2 Prime includes similar specs, except for its higher memory of 32GB and its powerful processor, which runs at 2.2 GHz.
Xiaomi has managed to sell around 800,000 units of the Redmi Note 2 phone in just 12 hours, which is said to be a new record for domestic mobile sales.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 2 in China last week. It will feature 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front cameras respectively.
All these great set of hardware specifications, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 costs only 799 Yuan-or an equivalent of $125.
Both phablets will be available starting August 16 in China.
Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and a digital compass (magnetometer). The 16GB variant is called the Redmi Note 2, while for some reason, Xiaomi has decided to name the 32GB model Redmi Note 2 Prime.

The Android-powered smartphone also comes with the usual connectivity options such as Global Positioning System, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, plus it supports dual 4G LTE standby.
