UPDATE (8:25 p.m.): After an hours-long standoff, Chris Brown has been arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the LA Times.

Brown, however, barricaded himself inside the home and refused to come out, before the arrest marked the conclusion of almost 14-hour-long stand-off and investigation by police.
Beauty queen Baylee Curran told the LA Times Brown had pointed the gun at her face after she had been admiring his friend’s jewellery.
The gossip website TMZ reported that Brown had thrown a duffle bag out of a window and that police had recovered a gun as well as drugs. A search warrant was served and everyone in Brown’s home was brought outside as the police did a protective sweep of the home.
Police said the woman who made the call for help about 3 a.m. was not inside the hilltop estate in the San Fernando Valley.
A New York Police Department spokeswoman said Curran was wanted for a grand larceny that took place inside the posh Plaza Hotel in October 2013.

But Curran denies she sent the text, and the guy who allegedly received it says he hasn’t talked to her since 2015. Brown had a previous run-in with the law back in 2009 when he was arrested for assaulting his then girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
The entertainer was released from custody Tuesday after posting $250,000 bail. “I just wake up to all these. helicopters, choppers is around, police out there at the gate”, Brown said in a video he posted on Instagram as police were stationed outside his house.

Brown spent 2½ months in custody, with United States marshals shuttling him between Los Angeles and the nation’s capital for court hearings.
