Agents at America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have reportedly launched an investigation into the brutal hack attack targeting actress Leslie Jones.

This isn’t the first time Jones has been an online target.

Twitter responded in kind, permanently suspending conservative commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, who allegedly inspired some of the abuse. I didn’t do anything to deserve this. In July, she was victimized by a barrage of racist and sexist Twitter comments that prompted her to temporarily leave the social network.

Dr. Tynes noted the criticism levied at the Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas while she was competing in Rio, and said, “Even the slightest perceived infraction leads people to get bullied”.

Actress and comedienne Leslie Jones has every right to be mad as hell. “Now I know. You can’t be nice and communicate with fans ’cause people insane”.

It’s suggested that the involvement of DHS points to the hack originated from outside of the U.S., reported Engadget. Her site is still down as of Thursday afternoon.

The online trolls posted images and personal details of the 48-year-old comedy star, including scans of her driving licence and passport, as well as many photographs of her.

The hacking is the latest in a slew of racial attacks and hate crimes against the actress. Leslie Jones has not posted anything to her twitter in the aftermath of this online attack. She called on the social networking service to do more to curb harassment, and Twitter banned several users as a result.
