The Welsh MP, who is challenging Jeremy Corbyn for leadership of the party, pledged that as Labour leader the party would block any attempt to invoke Article 50 until the public were promised a say on any final Brexit deal.

Virgin said it was “puzzled” by the suggestion Mr Corbyn was unable to find unreserved seats when he boarded the train because CCTV images appeared to show “they’re right next to him”.

The incident is embarrassing for Mr Corbyn who is in the midst of bloody leadership battle after a majority of Labour MPs turned against him after what many thought was his lacklustre performance during the European Union referendum that led Britons to vote to leave the bloc.

Corbyn added: “So I think you can see the parallels that are going on there”.

Corbyn’s team believe the party’s compliance committee makes arbitrary decisions, often on political grounds, some of which they believe could even breach members’ human rights.

“Passengers across Britain will have been in similar situations on overcrowded, expensive trains”, he said.

Corbyn’s camp weren’t particularly pleased by the comment either.

Mr Corbyn accused the SNP of blindly following the policies of the Conservative Government in Westminster and claimed Ms Sturgeon’s party would not be “radical” enough to be relied upon by Labour.

When a Jewish father met Jeremy Corbyn in the queue for a train to Glasgow this morning, there was only one question he could ask.

Jeremy Corbyn is the overwhelming favourite to win the Labour leadership contest, despite the embarrassment of the “traingate” fiasco which has recently distracted his campaign.

An ICO spokeswoman said: “We are aware of the publication of CCTV images of Jeremy Corbyn and are making enquiries”.

He again insisted Wednesday’s press conference was about the NHS.

‘If anyone is offended by the use of that word I apologise’.

The tweets were accompanied by a series of images showing the Labor leader walking past what looked like empty seats.

Several Labour members said they had also been suspended yesterday, with one saying that four people, with combined membership of 163 years, had received letters telling them they were barred from voting in the leadership contest.

Meanwhile, Corbyn’s leadership campaign manager Sam Tarry earlier told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme he believed that Richard Branson had initiated the row in order to protect his company. “I was talking about me”.
